Review: "Since picking up Sing You Seniors! I have had a song in my heart and a song on my lips. George Ryder and David Steinberg have captured the joy of singing in their superb song book. Their prescription for wellness is wonderful medicine and should be embraced by seniors of all ages. It is true: everyone can sing! To sing along with George and David is a joy to be shared by one and all."

Bio: After co-author GEORGE RYDER graduated from NYU with degrees in art and law, he enrolled at Julliard to study singing and auditioned for the Metropolitan Opera. But Uncle Sam came calling, and he served in WWII instead. For years after the war, Mr. Ryder worked in the steel business; he did not become a professional singer until his children were grown. After retirement, Mr. Ryder began to perform on radio and television and has conducted seminars on singalongs at senior centers across California and Arizona.

DAVID STEINBERG's column, "Seniorities," which is featured in the San Francisco Examiner every Saturday, won the national SAGE award, the California Aging Network's Media Advocate of the Year award, a Senior Action Network award, and more. As an adjunct professor in the gerontology department at SF State University, Mr. Steinberg taught a course in the Gerontology Certificate Program and drew the largest enrollment the department has ever seen.

Both men live in San Francisco.
